Refund Policy
Version: 1.0 Effective: 14 September 2026
This policy explains when a BoothApps.ai purchase can be refunded, who processes the refund and how long it takes. In short: you can get a full refund before your Event Date as long as no more than the 15 Complimentary Test Transformations have been used, and your statutory rights and Paddle's own review always apply on top of that.
1. Who you buy from and who refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Every order therefore creates two relationships:
- a purchase contract with Paddle for the payment, the invoice and the tax, governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and the Paddle Refund Policy;
- a service contract with us for the license and the service, governed by our Terms of Service, of which this Refund Policy forms part.
We are Innova.uno Sp. z o.o., Byslawska 84, 04-993 Warsaw, Poland, registered in the National Court Register under KRS 0000417704, VAT ID PL5213629718.
We do not take payments ourselves, we do not issue invoices ourselves and we cannot pay money back to you directly. What we do is confirm to Paddle whether a request meets the rules below, and Paddle then processes the refund.
Where this Refund Policy gives you more than the Paddle Refund Policy, or where mandatory law gives you more than either, the more favorable position applies.
2. Scope and business customers
This policy covers Workflow Purchases, Top-up Packs and Video Add-ons bought through our checkout.
BoothApps.ai is offered to businesses and professionals who operate photo booths and event services. When you buy, you confirm that you are acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession.
If you nevertheless buy as a consumer, the statutory rights described in section 9 apply to you in full. They are exercised through Paddle, and nothing in this policy limits them.
3. Definitions
- Purchase means one order for one Workflow for one event, paid once at checkout.
- Workflow Purchase means a Purchase of the Workflow itself, as distinct from a Top-up Pack or a Video Add-on bought for it.
- Workflow means the ready-made automated experience you buy, for example an AI portrait with a personalized report.
- Booth Connection means the unique connection address, and the password that goes with it, that your booth software sends guest photos to.
- Activation means the moment you switch the Workflow to active in your dashboard after you have completed setup. Payment alone does not activate a Workflow. You normally perform Activation yourself; we activate a Purchase only where you ask us to because you need a non-standard configuration. Activation is what makes your Booth Connection live.
- Event Date means the date of your event that you enter at checkout.
- Transformation means one submission to your Booth Connection processed by the Workflow to produce Outputs. A submission the Workflow rejects before any AI generation takes place, for example because automated moderation refuses the photo, is not a Transformation and does not count against your allowance.
- Complimentary Test Transformations means the 15 Transformations included with every Purchase so that you can test your setup before the event.
- Top-up Pack means a fixed number of additional Transformations added to one named Purchase.
- Video Add-on means a fixed number of video clips selected at checkout for the same Purchase.
- Output means a file the Workflow produces, for example an image, a report or a video.
4. Workflow Purchases
4.1 Full refund before the Event Date
You may request a full refund of a Workflow Purchase if both of the following are true:
- you make the request before the Event Date entered at checkout; and
- no more than the 15 Complimentary Test Transformations have been used on that Purchase.
This applies whether or not you have activated the Workflow. Setting up and testing a Workflow does not cost you the right to a refund, which is exactly what the 15 Complimentary Test Transformations are for.
4.2 After that point
Once more than 15 Transformations have been used on a Purchase, or once the Event Date has passed, the Purchase is non-refundable. The exceptions are sections 6, 7, 8 and 9, which continue to apply.
The reason is that the service is consumed as it runs. Each Transformation is generated by paid AI providers at the moment a guest steps in front of the booth, and that cost cannot be recovered once the images exist.
We do not operate a fixed 30-day money-back period, because a Purchase is bought for one dated event rather than for a period of time. The window we give instead runs to the Event Date, however far away it is, and it is not shortened by setting up or testing the Workflow.
4.3 Style and quality of Outputs
AI Outputs vary. Dissatisfaction with the style, the look or the artistic quality of an AI-generated Output is not a defect and is not a ground for a refund. Test your Workflow with the Complimentary Test Transformations before the event so that you know what it produces.
4.4 How usage is checked
Your dashboard shows a usage counter for every Purchase. That counter is the record we use to decide whether the condition in section 4.1 is met, and it is the figure we give Paddle when we confirm your eligibility. You can read the same number before you ask, so there is no guesswork on either side.
5. Top-up Packs and Video Add-ons
5.1 What they are
A Top-up Pack adds a fixed number of additional Transformations to one named Purchase, and that Purchase must be active. The additional Transformations are delivered to that Purchase immediately.
A Top-up Pack is not a balance, a wallet, a voucher, store credit or any other form of stored value. It cannot be moved to another Purchase, it cannot be transferred to another person and it cannot be redeemed for cash. Additional Transformations that are not used lapse with the Purchase they belong to, exactly as the included Transformations do.
A Video Add-on is chosen at checkout as part of a Workflow Purchase and belongs to that Purchase in the same way.
5.2 Refunds
A Top-up Pack is refundable in full if you ask within 14 days of the top-up transaction and none of the additional Transformations in it has been used. Once any of them has been used, the Top-up Pack is non-refundable.
A Video Add-on is refunded together with the Workflow Purchase it belongs to, under the rule in section 4.1, provided no video has been generated. Once any video has been generated, the Video Add-on is non-refundable.
Sections 6 to 9 apply to Top-up Packs and Video Add-ons in the same way as to Workflow Purchases.
6. Orders we cannot fulfill
We do not sell to every country. Orders with a billing address in a country under international sanctions (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus) and orders with a billing address in Poland are not fulfilled.
The check runs on the billing address recorded by Paddle, which we see only after the payment has gone through. When an order is refused on this ground:
- nothing is set up on your account and no Workflow is issued;
- we request a full refund of the payment through Paddle automatically;
- we email you at the address used at checkout to tell you what happened and that the refund has been requested;
- the money goes back to the card or account you paid with, typically within 5 to 10 business days.
If you believe your billing country was recorded incorrectly, email support@boothapps.ai and we will look at it again.
7. Non-delivery, outages and defects
7.1 Tell us first
If a Workflow cannot be activated, stops working during your event, or fails because of a fault on our side, contact us at support@boothapps.ai. Paddle also asks buyers to contact the supplier first, because we are the only ones who can actually fix the service.
7.2 Remedy ladder
We work through these remedies in order:
- Restore the service. If the event is still running or still ahead, we fix the fault so that the Workflow does what you paid for.
- Re-issue what was lost. If the event has passed, we re-issue the affected Transformations, or provide an equivalent Workflow for a future event, at no charge.
- Refund. If neither of those resolves it, you may ask Paddle for a refund and we confirm your eligibility to Paddle. Where only part of the Purchase was affected, the refund is proportionate to the part that was not delivered.
7.3 What is not a defect
The following are normal operation or outside our control, and are not grounds for a refund under this section:
- refusal of an individual photo by the automated content moderation of our AI providers;
- faults in your booth software, your camera settings, your computer or your local network;
- interruptions of the internet connection at your venue;
- problems with your own Twilio account or your own SMTP mail server, including suspended accounts, exhausted sending quotas, blocked numbers and messages filtered as spam by the recipient;
- the style, the look or the artistic quality of an AI-generated Output (section 4.3).
7.4 If we withdraw or materially change a Workflow
If we withdraw a Workflow you have bought before its Event Date, you get a full refund. If we make a change to a Workflow you have bought that is materially adverse to you, and you tell us before you use it, you get a full refund.
7.5 If we discontinue the service
If we discontinue BoothApps.ai as a whole, we give registered customers at least 90 days' notice and refund Purchases whose event has not yet taken place.
7.6 If performance is prevented for more than 30 days
If an event beyond either party's reasonable control prevents performance for more than 30 days, either of us may end the affected Purchase, and we refund what was not delivered. The full force majeure clause is section 14.10 of the Terms of Service.
8. Paddle's discretionary review
Independently of the rules above, Paddle may at its sole discretion refund any transaction if you ask within 14 days of the transaction date, under section 7 of the Paddle Refund Policy. Paddle weighs the nature of the product, the reason for the request, how much has been used and the applicable contract terms, and may refund in full, refund in part, or decline. Asking within that period does not guarantee a refund.
That decision is Paddle's, not ours, and it exists on top of anything this policy gives you.
9. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under mandatory law.
If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital services and digital content that right ends early when, with your express consent given during checkout, the service is made available to you before the end of those 14 days and you start to use or benefit from it. Activating a Workflow or processing a guest photo is such a use.
Consumer withdrawal requests are handled by Paddle, through the withdrawal option in the Paddle customer portal or at paddle.net.
10. How to request a refund
Through Paddle. Use the support link in your Paddle receipt, or go to paddle.net and choose "Request refund". This is the fastest route, because Paddle holds the payment.
Through us. Email support@boothapps.ai. We check the request against this policy and confirm your eligibility to Paddle, which then processes the payment back to you.
Please include:
- the Paddle order or transaction number;
- the email address used at checkout;
- the purchase ID shown on the purchase page in your dashboard;
- the reason for the request.
Timelines. Paddle processes approved refunds to the original payment method where possible, normally within 14 days of approval. Card refunds usually appear within 3 to 5 business days. PayPal refunds usually appear within 48 hours. Your bank or payment provider sets the final timing and we cannot speed it up.
Tax. Business customers charged VAT or sales tax in error can request a tax refund from Paddle within 60 days of the transaction, with a valid tax number or an exemption certificate.
11. Chargebacks
Please contact Paddle or us before you ask your bank or card issuer to reverse a payment. Almost every case is resolved faster that way.
While a chargeback is being reviewed, access to the Purchase may be suspended. A chargeback that we or Paddle reasonably believe to be fraudulent or abusive, for example a claim of non-delivery for a Workflow that has processed guest images, may result in the Purchase being blocked and the account being terminated.
12. Effect of a refund
When a refund is issued:
- the refunded Purchase is deactivated and your Booth Connection stops working;
- additional Transformations from a refunded Top-up Pack stop being available;
- Outputs already delivered to guests are unaffected. We do not recall or delete anything a guest has already received;
- Outputs stored in your dashboard follow the retention rules in our Terms of Service. They are kept for at least 365 days after the Event Date and may be removed after that;
- if the Purchase came through an affiliate referral, the related commission is reversed. A commission still pending is reversed automatically, and a commission already paid out is set off against future payouts or invoiced.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when our products change or when Paddle changes its processes. We give at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email and in the dashboard. The version of this policy in force when you made a Purchase governs the refund rules for that Purchase.
14. Contact
